Got your flu shot? Some do, others don’t, but different strains are out there every year and if you want to minimize the miserable down time that a flu can cause, then a flu shot is your best bet.
Even with a flu shot, its never a guarantee you won’t get the flu, but there are ways to be pro-active. Keep sanitizing wipes and defensive cleaning supplies at your desk for your hands, light switches, phones, keyboards and doorknobs. Have some Purell sanitizer for all to use; not to spread any germs around. Remember to wash your hands often.
Someone sneezing and coughing at the office?
Maybe having some disposable masks available will help to keep some of those germs at bay, at least until infected employees can go home and rest. Also, you may want to ask your Human Resources to provide your office with safe, non-drowsy, individually wrapped and dosed medications to make one feel better to get through the day.
Autumn leaves fall, not you please! Slippery office floors and stairways can be a threat when water and wet leaves are tracked indoors. Take precautions by installing industrial strength floor mats and post a sign to alert visitors and employees of slippery floors.
Even getting to and from the workplace can be hazardous as the darkness seems to be creeping slowly more and more as we approach Daylight Savings ending. We may start to see some rain, and we find it to be a bit more challenging to see pedestrians and bikers and deer. So slow down, check those tires and be safe on the road.
Let’s all welcome Fall into our lives. Grab that pumpkin latte, decorate your office and get your Halloween candy! Autumn has arrived and with some minor modifications, we feel you are going to be just fine!
